Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• New from Boropex International is the MotoRad Failsafe thermostat which has been designed to provides extra protection in the event of cooling system failure.

When a conventional thermostat fails it normally locks into a closed position, restricts coolant flow and can lead to engine damage.

The Failsafe unit does the opposite and defaults to the open position, even if it burns through.

The Failsafe is manufactured from stainless steel and copper to resist corrosion. It has been engineered to meet or exceed OE specifications and the design includes a jiggle valve to help stabilise pressure in the engine, reduce warm-up delay and eliminate trapped air from the system.
