AS an old commercial vehicle enthusiast I have a collection of Commercial Motor publications from the Twenties. I have put pen to paper as I was taken with
what I considered to be relevant and similar.
What appear to be the sentiments of the 1920s are still pertinent to this day: Tax the lad _for work, Tax the lad for play, Tax the lad, though times are bad And drive his trade away.
if he keeps afloat, Make him pay up more, trade destroyed,
'the unemployed Abound on Britain's shore.
Possibly, when we have a governmet that concerns itself with rewarding people instead of penalising them, then we as a small traditional business might flourish, but latterly all we seem to do i work longer and harder for less and less with less and less.
Perhaps you could direct this plea to the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
