SWEDEN'S Volvo Bus Corporation denies that it has discussed the possibility of buying Leyland Bus if the Laird Group's takeover talks with BE break down.
A spokesman for the Bus Corporation in (;othenburg knew nothing this week of any plans or desire for the Swedish bus and coach maker to involve itself in the Leyland Bus business.
But there were reports and rumours circulating this week that Volvo is interested and would only retain Leyland's Workington plant if it WAS SW:COSI:Ill iii tcquiring this part of Br.
