LEADER of the Conservative opposition within Strathclyde Regional Council, John Mair, has been appointed as a member of the special panel of the Transport Tribunal. He succeeds Bruce Weir, who has been a member of the panel since 1979.
As well as leading the opposition at Strathclyde council, solicitor Mair is opposition spokesman on its Highways and Transportation Committee.
