SUCKLING TRANSPORT has described the 39% increase in pre-tax proit it posted for the year to March 2011 as “encouraging”.

Pre-tax proit at the West Thurrock, Essexbased company was £560,846 compared with £403,848 in the previous 12-month period.

Turnover also rose 0.6% in 2011 to £17.2m, from £17.1m the previous year.

Suckling MD Peter Larner tells CM: “Our young management team continues to perform well.

“We will be launching a TankShare service at Avonmouth in the new year.” The irm, which 10 years ago had revenue of £2.2m, has purchased 15 new MAN trucks this year.
