PREMIER BEDS HAS been granted authorisation for three vehicles at its site in Bradford Road, Batley, subject to the following conditions and undertakings: • all vehicles shall enter and exit the site in forward gear; • vehicles shall not exceed 7,500kg gross plated weight; • parking must be free of all private motor vehicles to allow all authorised vehicles to manoeuvre within the site; • all tachographs will be independently analysed every two months; • a random audit of safety inspections will be conducted not less than six monthly when one vehicle will be checked by an independent person or body; • a training programme provided by IMI Training and compliance relating to Driver CPC Module One will be undertaken by all drivers and directors; • all vehicles will have a rolling road brake test every three months, not including the MOT, as well as a thorough and effective pre-MOT inspection; • maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by a reputable transport consultant or body every six months; • safety inspections will be pre-planned and never more than six weeks apart; • random audits of at least one driver a week to ensure the driver is undertaking his walk-round checks correctly; • there will be a nil defect daily driver reporting system.
