King and Taylor of Godalming, Surre kindly carried out a rolling road brake te.1 on the van, and obtained a respectabl 68% overall efficiency. The fitter notice however, that the rear axle load compel sator was stuck wide open, giving ft brake pressure to the rear brakes eve when unladen.
On the track at the Motor Industry 'Research Association proving ground, the brakes pulled the loaded van up a straight line without locking any wheels, but we did not run the test without a load.
