FOR MANY YEARS I have had a strong impression that the rate of wear decreases as the life of a tyre advances, but I have been unable to explain it. I should have asked Pirelli.
The company says that as the
tread of its new HM 80 tyr wears it gets wider, improvin traction and braking, "am reducing the rate of wear as thi load is carried on progressivel. larger contact patch." If thi applies to all tyres I have m, answer.
