WHERE do London buses go in the winter? Four of them, seven years old, have gone to City of Oxford Motor Services for use on their successful "park and ride" services. The rest, I sus • pect, are tucked up in their garages.
While I waited 25 minutes at King's Cross for a bus to Ludgate Circus I counted just six buses going eastward — and that before 8pm on a Friday. Shivering, thwarted passengers walked away from bus stops in despair.
