TAPED MUSIC and sound adverts may be used to help subsidise South Yorkshire PTE's cheap bus fares.
The PTE is negotiating a £62,000 contract for the system, and aims to have some buses in use by Christmas. It is also to have 10 buses painted as overall advertisements which will bring in anothei£25,000 annually.
And director general Norman Kay says he hopes to cash in on the novelty value of the 10 articulated buses being introduced to the fleet by renting advertising space on them.
