ROAD HAULAGE ASSOCIATION Security Committee chairman Jack Brown announced plans this week for the committee's 21st anniversary celebrations.
They will be launched on April 21-25 next year with the HOOF (Hands Off Our Freight) week which coincides with the International Fire Security and Safety Exhibition and 2onference at London's Dlympia.
Mr Brown said that the ..;ommittee wants to bring in ill modes of transport, as rail, ;ea, and air share road hauage's security problems.
There will be a stand at CM's .orry Driver of the Year inals at Cranfield, Bedfordhire, on September 7, which he committee says will be the biggest one of the lot". Plans are well advanced for stand at the Motor Show in lirmingham next October, /hen the committee hopes to raw financial support from ecurity manufacturers preared to exhibit with it.
Later the same month, the ammittee plans to participate 1 RHA's annual conference, nd it also wants a session to e arranged on security in ansit.
Mr Brown said that HOOF .eek will be the costliest item the ro ramme.
