Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

The Press, TV etc have all said how successful the NEC Show was, especially the Commercial Motor Show side.

To me, as an individual and having spoken to several of my colleagues in other companies, the conclusion is that from the businessman's point of view it was a disaster.

We visited numerous stands, and generally the vehicles that' we wished to inspect were locked up to prevent the hordes of school children who were all over the Show clambering in and out of them. Unfortunately this did not prevent them from • clambering all over them.

The general reaction of the people who were reps on the stands was one of "Well, if you are a customer I can't help you very much because we're overwhelmed with children and people scrambling in and out of the vehicles."

Whereas in the past the prospective buyer has been recognised by the Show people, in this instance there was no liaison at all. Yet, on the other hand, the whole Show was far too big for it to be covered comfortably in one day. I think the amalgamation of the Commercial and Car Show was entirely wrong.

I know of people who travelled from the Norwich area but were unable to gain entrance to the show as the doors were closed; they returned home without seeing one vehicle. DISGUSTED PUBLIC SERVANT
