THE PERCENTAGE of ex); accidents in which hea, goods vehicles were involv remained consistent at E during the last two years — reduction on previous years.
John Horam, Under Seci tary for Transport, announc in the Commons that in 19 there had been 20,823 inju accidents involving one more goods vehicles great than one and a half tons u laden weight. This was 7.9 p cent of all road accidents.
In subsequent years the fi ures had been: 1974 17,527 per cent), 1975 16,979 (6.1 1976 16,651 (6.4) and 19 17,044 (6.4).
