Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

customers for some time and I had Just completed these negotiations when the price freeze was announced. The fast of my customers to be approached furs now refused to pay the increased rate 5ectruse of the Government's measures but r understand that an application can be nude for an exemption from the freeze n certain circumstances. Can you tell me Please what are these circumstances and do rauliers qualify for exemption?

The price freeze was imposed on 7k November 6 and in the Government Vhite Paper entitled A programme for con olling the first stage published n that day, it was stated that the standill applied to prices and charges for goods id services supplied to the home market.

It will remain in force for 90 days from e passing of the Counter Inflation 'emporary Provisions) Act on November but it may be extended for a further n od of 50 days by order of both Houses Parliament.

Under this Act the Government may thorize an increase in prices if a trader n prove that his costs have risen so far tt they can no longer be absorbed but 7.h authority will, in general, be granted ly in relation to the cost of raw materials. In the circumstances it is not likely that iliers would qualify for exemption from provisions of the Act.
