Ronald Ian Howard, 40, has been appointed chief executive of A. Packham & Company Ltd., the south of England firm of carriers and distributors. He was previously with George S. May, the management consultants, where he was chief executive of management services for northern Europe.

E. R. Norris has joined the board of Pakord Ltd., Reading, as technical director. He was formerly sales manager for industrial yarns with Courtaulds Ltd.

OBITUARY

We record with regret the deaths of Mr. Magnus Brown Danskin, Mr. Lawrence Rose and Mr. Alex Ross.

A past chairman of the Fife Road Hauliers' Association, Mr. Danskin was principal of the Stratbkinness haulage contracting firm. He was 62.

Mr. Rose, of Disley, Cheshire, was transport manager with Grants of St. James (Northern) Ltd. He was 54.

Mr. Ross was associated with passenger transport in Kilmarnock for over 50 years. A former assistant general manager of Kilmarnock Tramways Dept., Mr. Ross was on the staff of Western SMT at the time of his death. He was 73.
