WARREN, general sales manager, and MR. B. TURNBULL, service manager. In February, Sir John leaves for an extensive tour of the South American markets, accompanied by Mr. Warren and MR. M. WHITFIELD, repairs manager.

PRICE OF STATE CONTROL

UP to October 31, provisional ascertainments of compensation totalling £25,684,000, in respect of road haulage undertakings compulsorily acquired, had been calculated, pending final settlements. A sum of £23,116,000 is now payable. Payments on account in cash and stock amounted to 122,413,362.

The Minister of Transport gave this information, last week, in a written reply to Mr. Reader Harris.
