Welcome to Laurie Dealer's used truck of the week. Each week our man inside the used truck trade picks out a truck or trailer from CM's online classified list. This week, it's a choice of two Schmitz Euroliner curtain-sided trailers
OUR TOP USED truck this week is actually a choice of two trailers: both are 2009-built Schmitz Cargobull Euroliner curtain-sided trailers.
They have come back in from operating lease agreements, and have an MoT until July and August 2014 respectively.
Both trailers are 13.6m long, 4m high, and have an internal height of 2.6m.
The curtains have the anti-vandal mesh designed to prevent them from being slashed from the outside.
Both specifications are pretty robust: there's galvanised chassis, sliding roofs and flush barn doors at the rear. The tyres are in good nick too, and there are double-spare wheel carriers and a toolbox. Kerbweight is 6,400kg, and the vendor offers refurbishment options.
At the moment the curtainsider market is bereft of late-year, clean trailers. It's mainly populated by sixto 10-year-old stock that requires a little more turn-around work. That drives down the potential margins for sellers and interest from operators.
