Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Former Road Haulage Association vice-chairman Barry Hempsall has died after a long illness.

Hempsall, who started his haulage business in 1952, announced in April this year that he would not be standing for reelection as RHA vice-chairman.

He had also resigned as director of the Hempsall Group, remaining only as an adviser. The group included Newark-based Hempsall Bulk Transport and two MAN dealerships.

Hempsall had been a member of the RHA's executive board for nine years and its national council for 21 years. He was a former chairman of the old East Midlands area committee, and was twice chairman of the RHA agricultural hauliers group.
