A new security marking system has been introduced into the UK by Sandhurst.
Developed as a positive identification aid, the system comprises a special invisible pen and a battery or mains operated ultra-violet light unit.
The writing shows up only under the ultra-violet light, and The ink is claimed to be permanent and waterproof.
An advantage of the pen is its non-defacing feature which allows its use on all surfaces from oil paintings and 'antiques to clothing and watches. Available from : Sandhurst (Britannia) Ltd, Spindle Way, Crawley, Sussex.
