IT is now only just over four weeks to CM's 1969 Fleet Management Conference, which is being held this year on September IS at the Midland Hotel, Peter Street, Manchester I.
The programme for the one-day conference. for which the all-in fee is 7gns, includes papers on fleet insurance by Mr. E. T. Hunter of the Zurich Group; Marketing prospects in road haulage by Mr. J. M. Silbermann of the Brent Group; and on management experience of productivity negotiations by Mr. D. E. A. Pettit, SPD chairman, and Mr. W. W. Heubeek of Ulster bus. In addition, Vauxhall's chief engineer, Mr. J. H. Alden, will be giving a largely visual presentation on vehicle testing and development, and a simulated 'application for an operator's licence has beet arranged. The conference will be opened by Mr. Douglas Richards, SMMT president, and chaired by Lord Chesham.
