• Metalair Ltd., a subsidiary of English and Overseas Investments Ltd., has entered into a joint venture in South Africa with the Leyland Motor Corporation of South Africa Ltd.
A new company has been formed to market bulk powder tankers in South Africa and all countries south of the equator. The company is to be called Dry Bulkers South Africa (Pty.) Ltd. and is owned 51 per cent by the Leyland organization and 49 per cent by Metalair.
The bulk tankers will be manufactured within the Leyland organization in South Africa and prototypes are being manufactured and sent there from Metalaies factory at Wokingham, Berkshire.
