Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A HAMPSHIRE OPERATOR has fitted nearly a third of its fleet with reversing cameras after its insurer offered to pay 50% of the installation cost. Lambert Brothers, based in Eastleigh, put the cameras on 20 of its vehicles to help minimise the

chance of accidents when delivering in town centres. The cameras cost £540 each to fit and the insurer contributed £6,000.

MD Clive Watkins says that if the cameras prove a success the company will install them on the rest of its fleet: "Basically our drivers treat them as a third mirror. It's a bit early to assess how far they are stopping accidents, but we have already had one driver who says the camera did make him stop where he would not otherwise have done and prevented him hitting a car."

The cameras have microphones so drivers can also hear noises at the rear of the vehicle.
