THE information service to port users covering the Gladstone, Hornby and Alexandra docks of the Mersey Docks and Harbours Board, which was inaugurated in January (COMMERCIAL MOTOR, January 14), is to be extended to cover the whole port starting next Monday (April 18).
The plan is specially intended to assist road transport operators and to minimize delays at the port. Information can be obtained by calling "Freefone Service 667", the inquirer then being connected to the inforination centre free of charge. Telex number is 627013 and telephone, Liverpool Central 9011-9015.
