The " season " will open on April 23 with the Weymouth competition. The starting point will be Wanchard Lane, Chanminster, where maintenance tests will be carried out, and the Highway Code examination will be completed. A 14-mile observed road route will take competitors to Westham Coach Park, Weymouth, for the manoeuvrability tests. There are 61 entries—nine more than last year.
