Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DROTRUDING rams and body underframe distortion are avoided on an E.R.F. heavy-duty tipper which has been equipped with the Edbro-B. and E. 6EN multitelescopic twin-ram end-tipping gear.

The time taken to tip the body to the full extension of the rams is 32 seconds. An ample reserve of power is available. as the equipment is capable of tipping a load of 47 tons on the first extension. 31 tons on the second and 22 tons on the third, by which time some of the load will have moved out of the body. The rigid construction of the ram assemblies takes care of the side loads imposed on the vehicle when on uneven ground.

The rams are actuated by oil pressure supplied from an Edbrn-B. and F.,. heavy-duty nine-cylindered swash-plat:: pump, which is lilted with filters to prevent contamination of the oil by dust and dirt.

A low loading line is achieved by using integral rear-spring shackle brackets for the king plates. By this means the longitudinal members of the body underframe are carried at the same level as the chassis members.

The chassis has a wheelbase of 14 fl. 6 in, and the 'aluminium-alloy body is 18 ft. long. The vehicle is to be operated in Australia.
