Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

REGRET that there was not a closer relationship between the Motor Agents' Association and the National Employers' Association of Vehicle Builders was expressed by Mr. E. B. Curtis, chairman of the Lincoln and district section of the M.A.A., at a dinner of the Lincoln and Gainsborough branches of the N.E.A.V.111.

He could not understand why there was a difference in minimum wage rates for similar work between the schedules of the National Joint Industrial Council for the repair side of the motor industry and the schedule to which the N.E.A.V.B. was a party.

Mr. J. M. Reeve. president of the N.E.A.V.B., endorsed Mr. Curtis's comments. Mr. Reeve deplored the poor educational standard of boys leaving school to enter various trades.

Mr. J. H. Beal, chairman of the Lincoln branch of the N.E.A.V.B., said that he hoped for closer ties between employers' organizations, as this would o;Tset the unity of the trade unions.
