Various ex-communist states and small East European countries want to join the EU:. I believe that the Government has endorsed this plan to make for a larger and safer Europe.
Two industries which these countries and our own share, both of which are important in terms of trade, are farming and haulage.
The depression in prices these industries are suffering would bring our prices for goods and services in line with these countries prior to their joining the EU. If this is a government objective, should it not be stated and bought out into the open so that management can plan ahead constructively?
