Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Two Iveco Ford Cargo trucks have created a new record for the quickest north-south crossing of Europe by a commercial vehicle. The 65hr 47min run was made during the 3,700 mile Cape to Cape Challenge. It raised £15,000 for the national deafblind and rubella charity SENSE. This was the first time trucks have taken part.

"The aim of the challenge was to find the quickest route across Europe without breaking any national speed limits," says Dan Ryan, director of NFC Foundation, which organised the trucks.

An all-female team of drivers from Excel, BRS and transport publications beat the rival allmale team as they drove the trucks from Nordkapp, Norway, to Cape Tarifa in Spain following EU drivers' hours regulations and road traffic laws.

Ironically, they made their way through France unhindered despite being fitted with extra fuel tanks.

Blackwell-based dealer Sherwood Commercials supplied prepared the trucks with 18ft box bodies and livery to BRS specifications and sponsored them along with Iveco Ford Truck dealer North East Truck and Van, AM Phillip and Northern Commercials.
