• South Yorkshire Transport's upgrading of services continues, with the introduction of a "Mainline" unit on its 93 route from Woodhouse to Firth Park in Sheffield.
It has refurbished 18 fiveyear-old Dennis Dominators in an upmarket identity which advertises an improved frequency on one of the city's main corridors.
A financially independent unit with its own manager and 39 drivers has been created at Greenland Road depot. The unit buys in admin and engineering work from the parent company. All the drivers have been through a customer care course and are expected to attract business.
