Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• GRP Massey has bought a large part of the Dundeebased Tayside Comercials bodybuilding business.

This includes the right to build Taysides' reefer bodywork and the patent on its live-shellfish transporter, which is used to deliver to the Continent.

The dry-freight side of the business, which is being retained by Tayside, may well be the subject of a local management buyout at a later date, although the Dundee site has been sold.

Former managing director George Murrey is joining GRP as its sales director in Scotland, but is also retaining control of M&G Bodyshops Supplies, part of Taysides' business which supplies materials to the truck bodybuilding and car repair industry.

GRP has closed the Milton Keynes-based CSC Specialist Vehicles bodybuilder, acquired earlier this year, and is integrating the business at the new Market Weighton factory, along with Tayside's former bodybuilding work.

Don Rastrick, chairman of GRP, feels that the moves will strengthen its marketing position with regard to Scotland, especially when the single European Market is established in 1992.
