Wincanton Bodywork, part )f the Arlington group, has leveloped a 12.2m reefer railer that offers a 2.6m nternal height within its werall 4.2m.

Built to ATP Class C tandards, the 2-6 series ncorporates a divided chassis developed jointly with )verlander Trailers) onsisting of a separate 27mm front section ntegrated into the floor and a onventional rear frame for he tri-axled running gear.

The 78m3 prototype, which ares out at just over 10 annes, features a fully bonded onstruction of one-piece ;oncargo GRP/polyurethane aam panels. Integral vertical teel pillars support stainless tee load locking tracks and aof-mounted rails.

For heavy duty work load transfer beams are installed in the floor, which is covered with a non-slip resin compound. Rubbing strips are standard, as is recessed lighting.

Wincantons' first 2-6 Series reefer uses a Carrier Euro Phoenix freezer unit, and runs on RO-R axles and Dunlop air suspension with a lift/lower capability, but other proprietary components can be used. Dual or triple sliding bulkheads can also be supplied, and Wincanton is planning a double-decker.
