Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Fire Trucks of Micheldean exhibited its latest airfield crash fire tender at the Fire International show, held earlier this month at the Birmingham NEC.

The 6x6 Marlin, built on a Reynolds Boughton Griffin 5 chassis, uses a modular design of glass fibre bodywork built by Northern Counties of Wigan. Its 4/5-man highvisibility cab features aluminium/GRP panels over a steel framework.

The bodywork is also of GRP, and is fitted with shuttered lockers with a sliding cover for the rear engine compartment. Reinforced GRP tanks can carry 12,000 litres of water and 1,440 litres of foam, which can be pumped out at 7,200 lit/ min. Powered by a 568kW (761hp) vee-12 Detroit Diesel with Renk seven-speed automatic transmission and Kessler axles, the 31-tonne Marlin can accelerate from 0-80 km/h in 25sec, and has a top speed of 108km/h (67mph).

Off-road trials are due to start later this year.

Fire Trucks. 20% of which is owned by Manchester Airport, also sells rapid intervention vehicles into Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
