THE TRIAL of Kuehne and Nagel Ltd, freight forward( Borough High Street, Southwark, London, and its Loi overseas manager, Christian Horst Hentzchell, on cha alleging conspiracy to defraud shippers and shipping lines Sept 30) ended unexpectedly at Liverpool Crown Court. Judge Joseph Davies, QC, discharged the jury and ordei retrial, unlikely to be held in Liverpool.

It then transpired that juror had perused the s bundles of documents taming over 1,400 pages v. had been handed to each j before it was decided particular document shou removed.

The judge said the should not have been disl ing this document.

Defence counsel then mitted that the jury shou discharged.
