A TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT and utilities company run by the MD of the used truck dealer Trucks2Go is opening a third site to keep pace with work.
Chris Hart said the depot in Leeds, on a five-year lease, will become the head office for his burgeoning 2 Works company and will complement the Bolton and Conseil, Co Durham sites. The company has won contracts to maintain overhead power lines and civil work. It has also become National Highways Sector Schemesapproved, to work on the UK road network, and struck a deal with Amey Mouchel to
operate in Liverpool and Knowsley. In the past 12 months, the company has increased its workforce from 20 to 60 to meet demand. It is set to record a turnover of more than £4m this financial year. 2 Works started in 2009 and is run by Hart and co-director Jim Warburton, who owns the Warrington-based J&L Commercial Vehicles used truck business.
