Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Re: Careers Hub News (CM17 October), I was interested to read Laura Hailstone's article. As one of the UK's leading suppliers of Driver CPC training, Driver Hire is in full support of the recommendations put forward by the Road Haulage Association in regards to Driver CPC training. We particularly applaud the suggestion that remote learning and online training courses should formally contribute to the required number of CPC hours.

Of course, training is vital for all organisations. But it can be difficult for operators to find the time to do it. As we all know, the industry works to tight deadlines. Removing a driver from his day-to-day job for a full seven hours takes a huge amount of planning and organisation.

With this in mind, Driver Hire has already produced a number of interactive online courses specifically designed for the transport and logistics industry. They include fuel-efficient driving and the daily walk around check. There are many sectors that already formally recognise online training as contributing to continued professional development and we hope it is only a matter of time before the transport and logistics industry follows in their footsteps.
