• This year Commercial Motor was instrumental in promoting and raising sufficient monies for an indepth research into the problem of wheel loss on goods vehicles, especially nearside wheels. This research is to include the possible revising of the British Standard for wheel nuts, studs and spigots as well as many other aspects of wheel loss. For some months now I have not seen any further mention of this research in CM. Has there been any preliminary report from the researchers, and is it known when their subsequent findings are to be published?
