TWO new power take-off units for mounting to the rear layshafts of Ford and Turner gearboxes have been added to the range made by Edbro Ltd of Lever Street, Bolton BL3 6DJ.

Designed for the Ford four, six and eight-speed synchromesh gearboxes, the Edbro PTO 175 runs at layshaft speed and will transmit up to 60hp at 1,600rpm. Torque rating is 25.5kpm (1841bft). Weight is 7kg (15.-1-1b).

Suitable for layshafts with either splined or keyed ends, the new Edbro PTO 176 unit for the Turner T5A-300 series gearboxes is a speed-up model and will transmit up to 60hp at 1,600rpm. Torque rating is 27.2kpm (1971bft).
