Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

British Leyland's Europa Service Guide dropped on my desk last week and at first sight it .appeared to be the most useful book of itskind to have come this way for a long time. Every clistributor, dealer and service point in the UK is listed by towns alphabetically and the type. of vehicle which each handles is shown.

. For the rest of Europe the book is divided 'into countries right the way through to Turkey and here it shows what kind of service is on offer. But what, I ask, has happened to Austria and Spain? Many service, points are listed, but there is no indication as to what is on offer. The men at Preston confessed they didn't would look into it immediately.

The strange thing was that needed the services of the guide almost as soon as I received it. I wished to make contact with the BL distributors in Aberdeen. The first one I tried was listed as Rossleigh Commercial Ltd, recently renamed Herron, but my guide had a telephone number which I am now told is 14 months out of date. After a number of abortive attempts I switched my attention to Aberdeen Motors, only to find that the telephone number against their address was for their car sales division. If such a guide is to be useful, and there is no reason why it should not be, then it is vital that the information is both up to date and accurate.

I am sure somebody is going to blame the Post Office.
