• The Northern LA, Mr. John Hanlon, granted an application by T. N. Hall (Transport and Supplies) Ltd., of Burnopfield, Co. Durham. to vary the conditions of its limited B licence to include the carriage of opencast coal to screen and stocking grounds within a radius of 40 miles.
An objection by British Rail was withdrawn when the condition was included that the coal should only be carried to screen and stocking grounds.
