AS the result of a public inquiry, the Minister of Transport has refused to allow 'Cheltenham Corporation to raise from 4d. to 7d. the charge per departure for the use of the Royal Well bits station. The charge to operators is to remain at 4d. per vehicle per departure, The Minister rejected a proposal that the station should be sold to the bus operators using it, because part of it constituted a public highway which the council could not sell.
