• Eurotunnel has slammed as a "flat lie" Consumers' Association claims that Channel Tunnel safety questions have been surrounded by a "wall of secrecy".
The association's Which; magazine has revealed that more people are worried about using the Chunnel than the ferries because of a possible fire risk.
But Eurotunnel says it is foolish to poll people about "something of which they have absolutely no experience".
