• Haulier Eddie Stobart has opened a Warrington depot after winning contracts in the North-West. The 300-vehicle company plans to base 50 vehicles at the 7ha site at Hawiey's lane, off Junction nine of the M62.
It is Stobart's second new depot this year. In February the northern-based company moved into the South with a Reading base. At the time Stobart said 20 vehicles would be based at Reading; so far there is only one.
