Supplement to Motor Vehicle Technical Regulations by C. C. Toyne. Published by Liffon Engineering Services, 102 Fourth Avenue, Luton, Beds. Price : £1 the supplement, £3 the book.

THE BOOK is an operator's easy guide to Regulations controlling the Construction and Use of road vehicles, and it was published in 1974. Since then several amendments to the Regulations and EEC Directives referred to in the book have been made and these are covered by the supplement. Amendments include additions to the section on rear vehicle markings for vehicles engaged on the international carriage of dangerous goods. A marking of stated description may be carried, facing squarely to the rear, identifying the load and the degree of risk in the case of escape of the substance. To cater for the change in regulations concerning the use of lights during the daytime an amendment is made to page 112 of the book. The driver of a vehicle equipped with obligatory lamps is required to switch on the lamps, detailed in Regulations 21 and 22, when the. vehicle is being driven in poor visibility. T.L.
