PLAXTONS' PROFITS for the six months up to the end of February 1976 dropped to 09,000 after tax from £67,000 for the equivalent period ended in February '75.
But Plaxtons predict that the 1975 trend, which brought in a profit of E363,000 on the whole year's trading to the end of August '75 will be repeated this year.
"Coach division profitability for the first six months of the current year was badly affected by the aftermath of the extended period of three-day working and resulting redundancies of the previous year," said a spokesman.
