The original number of members is 40, each liable for £5 .in the event of winding up. The Objetts are to promote research in connection with, or for the benefit.of, the internal-combustion engine and allied trades, etc. Members are classi fied as " ordinary," " associate," " delegate,". and "-hsonoraay "; only
ordinary" members have voting rights. No foreigner, or corporation
.under foreign control, may be admitt‘ed to membership without the consent of the Board of Trade.
