ABSENCE of a vendor of a coach business caused trouble at a sitting of the North Western Traffic Commissioners, at Manchester, and the renewal, as well as the "transfer," was refused.

The application for renewal was in the name of Messrs. A. and G. Lawton (trading as Avenue Motors), Salford, and the applicant for the new licence was Mr. W. Pritchard, represented by Mr. Riches.
