2 etting married is an exciting enough day in a young woman's life without being involved in a high speed chase in pursuit of a thief But for "page three" model, Mandie Bradley, the big day was given an added frisson when her chauffeur, Barrie Hanslip, spotted a a burglar leap from a window with a TV set before racing away in a getaway van.
The public-spirited Barrie set off in hot pursuit through the streets of Southampton, while 22-year-old Mandie clung to her dad, Ken, and wondered if fate wasn't taking an awfully funny turn on her day of days. Would Mr Right, 24year-old DJ Mark Andrews, still be waiting at the altar if the chase continued for hours?
However, Barrie lost the TV thief after three miles and turned back to get his charge to the church on time. The blushing bride said the incident helped her forget her wedding nerves.
