Split service
• Central Trailer Rentco has split its Roadside Assistance taller breakdown service into two divisions. The old subscription fee will now be replaced by a new "Pay As You Go" package and "Premier Service".
"Pay As You Go" allows use of the emergency freephone service for a small annual charge per trailer. "Premier Service" covers the customer's entire fleet for a one-off fee, and offers fleet management reports listing breakdowns, faults and repair costs and the freephone.

• Manchester Truck and Bus, part of Volvo's truck and bus network, has opened a new parts and service dealership at Bryn, near Wigan.
The dealership, which has plans to be an authorised MOT test centre, offers a full range of Volvo aftermarket services.
