• Durham-based owner-driver Bill Troup is asking drivers to send him true, funny stories gleaned from their life on the road in a bid to raise money for wrongly-imprisoned drivers.
He is collecting the stories for a book, provisionally titled Square Wheels, whose profits will help drivers accused of drug smuggling who are fighting to prove their innocence.
"Everybody on the road will buy a book of funny driving stories," he says.
