Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The holding company of Mansfield-based E&J Meeks has been purchased by Consilium AB of Sweden.

The deal is materials handling specialist Consilium's first British acquisition and its first toehold in the transport field.

For E&J Meeks, the deal provides financial backing for acquistions in the transport field and for vehicle purchases. The Meeks family retains control of E&J Meeks as no Consilium director sits on the board of Markground, of E&J Meeks' holding company.

Robin Meeks, managing director of E&J Meeks, says his company now constitutes around 20% of Consilium. In the first acquisition by E&J Meeks with Consiliurn's backing the company has just bought powder tanker operator Sam Longson of Chapel-en-le-Frith in Derbyshire.

This adds a further 55 vehicles to E&J Meeks' fleet of 170 vehicles and further strengthens the company's tanker operations.
